This Is The Easiest Way To Clean Your Door Screens

Cleaning your door screens is not a chore that you need to do often – thankfully! But it’s still a chore that needs to be done at least once or twice a year. Let me show you what is the easiest way to clean your door screens so you don’t end up wasting a lot of your free time!

This Is The Easiest Way To Clean Your Door Screens!

I recommend you remove the door screens and take them outside – in your driveway, for example. That way you won’t make a huge mess at home. I like to place them on the floor then vacuum them with the dusting attachment so I can remove the dust and any spiderwebs.

Then I grab a large bucket where I mix ammonia with water – I use one part of the ammonia to three parts of the water. I dip a sponge in the solution and wipe the screens with it – including the frame and all the edges.

Next, it’s time to rinse the door screens with your garden hose. You don’t need a pressure washer or anything else because you may end up damaging and tearing up the screens. If you don’t have a garden hose, you can use a bucket filled with water.

I like to allow my door screens to air-dry before I place them back, however, if you don’t have the time to wait, you can also dry them with a cloth or an old towel.

And don’t forget that before you reinstall them, you should clean the window frames so you can remove the dust and impurities.

How to Remove Watermelon Stains From Your Clothes?

Watermelon is my favourite fruit but one thing I hate about it is that I always get my clothes stained whenever I eat it. This has made me figure out a way to clean my clothes and properly remove the stains before they set in.

How to Remove Watermelon Stains From Your Clothes?

First thing you need to do is remove the chunks as well as blot the liquid – use a paper towel, however, don’t rub and wipe – gently blot.

Next step is rinsing the area with cold water. For this, you need to hold the affected area over running cold water. This will remove the juice.

Of course, there are other steps until you truly remove the stain but don’t worry because we are close to finishing the cleaning. You need to apply a few drops of your laundry detergent to the area and work it into the stain with your fingers. Let it sit for a few minutes before you rinse it with cold water again.

And now that the stain is removed, you can wash as usual. If the stain is still visible then my go-to ingredient to use is oxygen bleach. Submerge the stained area in the liquid and let it sit for at least 3 hours before you rinse and wash the clothing item as usual.

How to Clean Your Stone Floors?

Do you have stone floors? I know how beautiful they are and how stylish they make your house look, however, they need to be cleaned a specific way because otherwise, you can damage them very fast.

Today, I am going to teach you how to clean your stone countertops but, of course, these tips and tricks are also suitable for any other stone surface in your home – from stone countertops and tiles to even your stone fireplace! And trust me – it’s so much easier than you may think!

How to Clean Your Stone Floors?

The first thing you need to keep in mind is to always clean spills as fast as possible so you can avoid stains from forming. No matter what you spill – whether it will be food, juice, or even wine or coffee, you need to immediately blot the liquid with a paper towel.

Next thing I want you to keep in mind is to vacuum clean your stone floors at least once every two days. It’s extremely important to keep them free of dirt, dust, and impurities which can leave scratches and ruin the surface.

And now when it comes to the actual cleaning, you will need a mop and a special pH-neutral stone cleaner. I know I usually like to use vinegar for cleaning my home, however, avoid vinegar as well as other similar acidic ingredients such as lemon juice at all cost. Stone and acidity do not mix well and will create terrible irreversible damage. If you have stone countertops, walls, or anything else aside from floors, use the same stone cleaner but just mix it in a smaller container and use a cloth instead of a mop.

And after you have covered the surface with the stone cleaner, you have to rinse the surface and remove that residue. Fill a bucket with warm water and use your mop to rinse everything.

Are you ready for the final step? It’s drying the surface! You should never let any stone surface air-dry. Just get an old towel and wipe the floor or any other stone surface you cleaned.

How to Deep Clean a Mattress And Remove Stains?

You spend so much time sleeping which means one thing – you need to make sure your mattress as well as your bedroom are spotless, clean, and disinfected, otherwise, you may have health issues such as allergies.

But even though you already know how to deep clean your bedroom – what do you do to deep clean your mattress? I know that you don’t want to waste an entire day cleaning it just to have to wait even longer for it to dry. Thankfully, I know what you need to do instead so you will easily achieve a deep cleaned mattress without wasting too much time!

How to Deep Clean a Mattress And Remove Stains?

I usually use baking soda and vinegar. This is the first cleaning method I am going to tell you about. It’s easy, cheap, and effective.

Just spray vinegar all over the mattress and wait for a few minutes before you sprinkle baking soda on top. Allow both ingredients to work their magic and wait for the fizzing reaction to stop before you vacuum up the powder.

The second cleaning method is for everyone that hates the smell of vinegar and refuses to use it as a cleaner – especially in their bedroom. Instead, you are going to use borax. Fill a spray bottle with water and dampen your mattress before you sprinkle the borax all over the surface. If there are any stains, grab a sponge or a scrub brush and scrub the stain with it – you might even want to sprinkle more borax on that area too.

Then simply allow the water to dry so you can easily vacuum up the borax.

What To Do With Stubborn Stains?

If there is a super stubborn stain and you can’t seem to get rid of with the other method then it’s time to use hydrogen peroxide. Dampen a cloth with the liquid and dab it into the stained area. Scrub for a minute or so but don’t go overboard and definitely be gentle – hydrogen peroxide is very strong. Then just let it dry!

How To Remove Candle Wax From Wooden Furniture?

I love candles. In fact, I am kind of obsessed with them and I buy one at least once a month. I like how they transform the atmosphere at home whenever I light them. I have a few displayed in every room in my home – even in my bathroom. Whenever I take a bath, I like to light a few and just dim down the lights. In a way, I use them to relax after a long day of work.

But if you are like me and you love candles then you have most likely dealt with candle wax dripping on your furniture – from your wooden table to your wooden floors. And since wooden furniture can be pretty expensive, you probably panic and don’t know what to do in order to remove the wax. This is why I will share all of my favourite removal methods with you – so the next time your candles drip wax on your wooden table, you know exactly what to do!

The First Method

If the wax is on your wooden floors then start off with mopping with warm water. Then you need to pour mineral spirits over the affected area. Continue with scrubbing the stain with either a cloth or a mop and make sure you apply a bit of pressure so you can transfer the wax onto the cloth/ mop.

The Second Method

If the wax is dry then scoop as much as possible with a spoon but be careful because you don’t want to scratch the wooden surface.

Then gran your hairdryer and point it towards the wax. Turn it on and heat up the wax for a minute so you can soften the residue.

While you still hold the hairdryer, start wiping the wax with a cloth.

The Third Method

And the last method I have for you involves using an ice cube. Place it over the wax so it can harden it then scrape it with a spoon, a butter knife, or something similar.

Finish off by applying furniture wax over the area so you can get rid of the residue!

How To Deep Clean Your Oven With Just Vinegar And Baking Soda?

Are you tired of having to scrub your oven for hours in order to deep clean it? Are you tired of buying commercial cleaners that don’t work? Well, I have here today to show you something that will change your life. I have been deep cleaning my oven with just vinegar and baking soda for almost a year – and I can guarantee that it works better than any cleaner out there. It’s also super cheap and free of any harsh chemicals – and if you have strong allergies then this is quite important!

But the best part of using these both natural ingredients is that you will avoid the need to scrub the build-up and greasy stains for hours. As you probably know, vinegar and baking soda create a reaction when they are mixed. This fizzing will loosen up all the impurities – yes, you won’t need to scrub!

So without further ado, let me show you how to easily deep clean your oven!

Here Is What You Need To Do!

Start off by mixing baking soda and water in a bowl. You need to create a paste. Then open the oven and spread that paste all over the interior – and apply a bit more on greasy stains and burnt food. After that, close the door and leave the baking soda for a few hours.

Then, pour vinegar into a spray bottle. If you absolutely cannot stand the smell of it, you can add a few essential oils. If you aren’t in a hurry then you can also make infused vinegar. You do that by adding lemon and orange peels as well as your favourite herbs to the vinegar. Then you need to let them sit for a few days so that the vinegar can infuse with their smell. If you are in a hurry to clean your oven remember this hack and use it the next time.

Now that you have vinegar in a spray bottle, open the door of your oven and spray the liquid on top of the baking soda. Then both ingredients will fizz – come back half an hour later to wipe the interior with a damp cloth.

And just like that, you have a spotless deep cleaned oven that you didn’t even have to scrub!

How To Remove Stubborn Stains From A Carpet?

Everyone that has a carpet has stained it at some point in their lives – you accidentally spilled something, your pet peed on it, your child drew on it with a marker, etc. It doesn’t really matter how you stained your carpet – all it matters is that these stains are hard to remove and are extremely stubborn. And don’t worry – I won’t tell you to buy some fancy stain remover that is expensive. For this hack, you only need a few inexpensive household ingredients you already have in your home!

How To Remove Stubborn Stains From A Carpet?

Start with preparing all needed ingredients – baking soda and vinegar. Yes, that’s all you need to remove stubborn stains. I know that it sounds weird, however, both of these things are extremely powerful when combined!

Grab a spray bottle and pour a cup of vinegar in there. Then, I recommend you pour half a cup of water so that you dilute the vinegar and it’s not so strong!

Next, sprinkle baking soda on top of the stained area. Apply a large amount – depending on the size of the stain, maybe around half of the box if the stain is huge!

Continue with spraying the baking soda with the mixture of vinegar and water. And finally, leave both ingredients to do their magic for a few hours!

After a few hours have passed, it’s time to clean up the vinegar and baking soda but before you do that, I recommend you get a brush or a sponge and gently scrub the baking soda into the carpet. Once you are ready, use your vacuum cleaner to remove all the mess, and you are done – your carpet will be spotless!

The Secret To Having A Spotless Home At All Time!

Everyone wants to have a spotless home yet no one wants to spend all of their free time cleaning, right? I used to wonder how to achieve a clean home without actually having to set a few hours every single day for all my chores. I am a bit of a clean freak so my standards are pretty high.

Lately, I came to one conclusion – you can have a spotless home at all times without having to clean every single day. In fact, it’s quite simple which is why I want to share my secrets with you – so that you can enjoy a spotless home at all times as well!

What Are My Secrets?

– I clean-up messes immediately

Something very important you need to do is always clean up any messes the second they happen. For example, if you spill orange juice on your wooden floors – clean it up immediately. Waiting will make everything worse and it will be a lot harder to clean it up.

Another example I want to give you is cooking. Every time you cook, you make a huge mess in the kitchen – you spill sauce, crumbs are all over the kitchen counter, there is grease on the backsplash. I always clean everything in my kitchen once I am done cooking – so the impurities don’t build up.

– Don’t let dirty dishes pile up in your sink

Leaving dirty dishes in the sink after you are finished eating is so much easier than washing them, right? You just want to sit on the couch and watch a movie. This, however, is a huge mistake people make.

Make sure you never pile up dirty dishes in your sink. If you have a dishwasher – great! If you don’t – quickly wash them with hot soapy water!

– Do one cleaning chore a day!

This has helped me so much when it comes to maintaining my home spotless at all times. Just think about it – I vacuum and mop my floors every Sunday. It doesn’t take me more than 25 minutes. I dust all surfaces every Saturday – again, it doesn’t take me more than 15 minutes.

If you do one chore a day then you won’t feel overwhelmed by the amount of cleaning you need to do, and your home will always be clean. Also, you won’t be wasting too much time!

– Have “house slippers”

Buy yourself some slippers – the fuzzy ones and wear them whenever you are home. Walking with shoes inside of your home will make your home so dirty that you will need to vacuum and mop every hour. Just imagine all the impurities that you pick up when walking on the outside. Then, once you come home, all of those impurities are being spread everywhere – in your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, etc.

This is why you need to take your shoes off once you come home – and replace them with your “house” slippers!
