How To Remove Stubborn Stains From A Carpet?

Everyone that has a carpet has stained it at some point in their lives – you accidentally spilled something, your pet peed on it, your child drew on it with a marker, etc. It doesn’t really matter how you stained your carpet – all it matters is that these stains are hard to remove and are extremely stubborn. Thankfully, I managed to find an amazing cleaning hack that is powerful enough to get rid of any stubborn stains without actually damaging the fibers of the carpet – and today, I will share this hack with you!

And don’t worry – I won’t tell you to buy some fancy stain remover that is expensive. For this hack, you only need a few inexpensive household ingredients you already have in your home!

How To Remove Stubborn Stains From A Carpet?

Start with preparing all needed ingredients – baking soda and vinegar. Yes, that’s all you need to remove stubborn stains. I know that it sounds weird, however, both of these things are extremely powerful when combined!

Grab a spray bottle and pour a cup of vinegar in there. Then, I recommend you pour half a cup of water so that you dilute the vinegar and it’s not so strong!

Next, sprinkle baking soda on top of the stained area. Apply a large amount – depending on the size of the stain, maybe around half of the box if the stain is huge!

Continue with spraying the baking soda with the mixture of vinegar and water. And finally, leave both ingredients to do their magic for a few hours!

After a few hours have passed, it’s time to clean up the vinegar and baking soda but before you do that, I recommend you get a brush or a sponge and gently scrub the baking soda into the carpet. Once you are ready, use your vacuum cleaner to remove all the mess, and you are done – your carpet will be spotless!
