Cleaning your door screens is not a chore that you need to do often – thankfully! But it’s still a chore that needs to be done at least once or twice a year. Let me show you what is the easiest way to clean your door screens so you don’t end up wasting a lot of your free time!
This Is The Easiest Way To Clean Your Door Screens!
I recommend you remove the door screens and take them outside – in your driveway, for example. That way you won’t make a huge mess at home. I like to place them on the floor then vacuum them with the dusting attachment so I can remove the dust and any spiderwebs.
Then I grab a large bucket where I mix ammonia with water – I use one part of the ammonia to three parts of the water. I dip a sponge in the solution and wipe the screens with it – including the frame and all the edges.
Next, it’s time to rinse the door screens with your garden hose. You don’t need a pressure washer or anything else because you may end up damaging and tearing up the screens. If you don’t have a garden hose, you can use a bucket filled with water.
I like to allow my door screens to air-dry before I place them back, however, if you don’t have the time to wait, you can also dry them with a cloth or an old towel.
And don’t forget that before you reinstall them, you should clean the window frames so you can remove the dust and impurities.
